LFW'11

London Fashion Week is over and I just wanted to share some of my favorites with you all.  Burberry Prorsum show was a few days ago, unfortunately I was not invited but it's all good because Burberry broadcasted their show live, and I was stuck on my seat watching the beautiful models showcase the Autumn/Winter collection for 2011. I am absolutely obsessed with this collection, it's so modern and clean and Christopher Bailey really took Burberry's signature trench coat to the next level with new shapes and colours. Love it!

Online fashion magazines

TANGENTMAG.COM

I came across Tangent magazine a few months ago, while I was researching for my previous project on online fashion magazines. I literally fell inlove with the site almost straight away. I think its genius, not only is it high-fashion, the photography (in my opinion) is insanely good and the best thing is - it's published online! which is great cos as a fashion student, i spend...  abit too much on fashion magazines and i am not the type to chuck them out after so now im left with stacks of magazines just chilling on my bedroom floor and its pretty much become part of the furniture. I went through the stack the other day hoping to pick out a few to chuck out, but unfortunately Im abit of a hoarder when it comes to magazines, and I ended up spending hours piling them up in order instead - bit sad i know.


 So anyway, back to Tangent - photographed by Emmanual Giraud and styled by Heather Cairn. Even if you're not into photography, you should definitely check out the styling. Her risk taking sense of fashion is too sexy to handle!!   Here's a few of my favorites from the editorial shoot, make sure you check out the stunning teaser HERE.

Vogue gone Gaga

The Power Issue

Lady Gaga is featured in the March issue of Vogue US called 'The Power Issue'. I don't usually read American Vogue but this caught my eye. Firstly because the front cover was shot by Mario Testino and secondly compare to Gaga's usual fashion shoots, she looks different here. Yes she's got pink hair and and purple lips but it's not that. I think Gaga is looking more and more high-fashion, she is so diverse and we finally get to see a calmer side of her. Im not really feeling the pink hair and the 'no eye brows' look but besides that, I actually quite like this spread, especially the front cover. I love the elegant styling and the colours throughout the shoot plus it's not what you normally find on the front cover of Vogue, this is very Gaga.

Speaking of Lady Gaga, have you guys heard her new song ' born this way'? Im not gona lie, im still unsure whether i like it or not but i am looking forward to this new album, check out the artwork!

How fierce is that?!

Inspiration

So I'm producing a lookbook as part of a PR campaign for my final major project. Every now and then, I'll post up inspirations to help me plan my shoot and for you to get a feel of what I'm after. Follow me and you'll see how it progress - fingers crossed.

Ellie Tahari is a lifestyle brand, they offer ready-to-wear collections that is sophisticated yet chic. Photographed by Nagi Sakai. I love the decorative setting ( check out that huge fire place! ), this is close to what I'm after ; modern sophistication & timeless elegance.
